Following the great success of the first edition, the advanced training course in Sport Management, Sustainability & Health promoted by the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa in collaboration with Fiorentina will be held for the second time this year. It is an excellent training opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the world of sport management, with particular reference to football. Enrolment for the second edition, which will admit 50 participants (25 to the sport management and sustainability course and 25 to the sport management and healthcare course), opened on 15 October and will close on 19 December 2025.

Graduates and undergraduates who have passed all their exams before the start of the course, in any discipline, from different backgrounds (including, but not limited to: economics and management, law, political science, medical science, sports science, healthcare professions, etc.), who are interested in acquiring skills in the management of sports organisations - specifically those operating in the world of football - in order to face future challenges, in particular those represented by the transition to models of sustainability, or who are interested in the topic of health management in sports.

Scholarships are available to cover the enrolment fee, following the drafting of the ranking list of participants. The lessons will take place in person at Viola Park (Bagno a Ripoli - Florence) and the Scuola Superiore Sant' Anna in Pisa, from 30 January to 30 May 2026, with a total duration of 144 hours, divided into 12 training weekends between Friday afternoon and the whole day on Saturday.

The course will offer a balance between theoretical lectures and practical sessions, with the participation of lecturers from the Institute of Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, in particular from the Laboratory on Sustainability Management and the MeS-Management and Healthcare Laboratory, and managers from ACF Fiorentina. This integrated approach allows students to immediately put their knowledge into practice, linking theory to the operational reality of a major football team. Participants will also be offered the opportunity to attend a Fiorentina home match to observe the practical application of the topics covered during the lectures “on the pitch”. Together with the lecturers from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Fiorentina's management team will share their experience and guide participants in understanding the concrete dynamics of sports management in a high-level professional context. Among the speakers on the course will be Fiorentina's Head of Medical Services, Dr Luca Pengue, as one of the new features this year will be the introduction of a medical component.

"The positive feedback from former students of the first edition confirmed the intuition we had together with ACF Fiorentina when planning the course, namely that combining and alternating lectures by academic lecturers from the Sant'Anna School and club managers provided the right balance between theoretical concepts and practical implications, which allowed for a high level of involvement from all participants" comments Tiberio Daddi, professor at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies and scientific director of the course.

"It will be a pleasure for us to host part of the course again next year,’ emphasises Carla Bonacci, People & Organisation Director at Fiorentina, "and, above all, to make our facilities and expertise available to train and develop the young sports managers of tomorrow. We would like to thank the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa for sharing this project with us and we are very satisfied with the results of the first edition".
